The beautiful grounds, and the helpfulness of the staff. The size of the swimming pool.
Would have liked a biscuit with tea making facilities!
As I was attending the wedding as a member of the groom's family for the weekend, I found the staff so very accommodating, friendly, helpful and courteous at all times.
We were upgraded to an amazing three bedroomed suite. Would definately stay @ the Maryborough Hotel again.
No everything was perfect.
We have stayed here numerous times and love the overall ambience of the hotel, its in a secluded location but only 5 mins from Douglas by car which has various pubs and restuarants if you don't fancy staying in the hotel for the evening.
Great food & veryt good service
Friendly helpful staff and well appointed accomodation. Easy access in Cork a d a very nice settings in a large former estate. Good value for a special occasion or a holiday or business trip.
Some back rooms have poor outlooks. Ask for a nine one. We did and were given one.
Good breakfast, nice room, friendly and helpful staff
Room directly above smoking balcony!
We attended a friends wedding at the hotel and throughout the wedding day and before and after we were really impressed with the whole experience of the stay here. Would recommend the hotel to friends & family without hesitation.
There was only one fault that we came across. On the first night of our stay we had booked an evening meal, the meal I had was excellent but the meal my wife had was not so good. She had the fish and found it to be not very nice. The fish and the coating was very wet not very good at all. This was the only downside to a memorable experience.
Had a fabulous stay at the Maryborough, would go back again in a heartbeat.
the staff were absolutly fantastic
It was very noisy. poeple runing around in the coridors till late at night. Also there are tables and chairs outside some of the rooms and the guest in those rooms thught it was appropriate to shout at each other late into the night. I suspect this was alcohol fueled. I understadn that people like to have a good time at a weding but they need to show more cosideration to other guests. I was sharing a room with my erderly mother who found the noise quite intimidating.
What I liked about this hotel was that is was convienent, as I was attendng a party in the hotel so it was handy to stay here.
I thought the breakfast was not up to standard. I got the full Irish and I thought it was very try and not enough. The staff were not the most helpful, going up to reception to make a complaint and they did not seem to care.
Relaxed, friendly, helpful staff and professional management in a calm setting made for an enjoyable stay. I was a guest at a wedding reception which was conducted very professionally by the hotel managemnet and staff.
It was a wonderful hotel staff extremely friendly and the hotel itself exceeded our expectations
Very nice rooms and bathrooms in a wonderfull hotel with a large garden. The location, on a very residencial hill looking over Cork is also great. A very fair price in regard of the level of this hotel. To be recomended without restrictions !
Very relaxing, great service & very helpful staff
